Planning Commission meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30.
New Buffalo Township Planning Commission consist of a seven (7) member board, appointed by the Supervisor to three (3) year terms. The duty of the Planning Commission is to make and adopt a master plan for the physical development of the Township.
The powers and duties of the Planning Commission are confirmed under PA 285 of the Public Acts of 1931, as amended (Mich Stat. Ann 5.2991, et seq) of the laws of the State of Michigan, include but are not limited to:
- Adoption of a Master Plan
- Preparation of a Zoning Plan
- Review and give recommendations of parks, grounds, open spaces, public buildings or structures.
